Banquet, Reception & Meeting Hall

Youth BuildingThe Dent County Commons is proud to offer a building specifically designed as a Banquet, Reception and Meeting Hall.  The "Youth Building" features a full kitchen with multiple stoves and ovens, a freezer, a refrigerator and sinks.  Please see all of the photos of the building here.  Whether planning a Wedding Reception, an Organizational Banquet, a Town Hall Meeting or other event, we hope that you will consider using our superb building for your next event.  We think that you will find that our rental rates are extremely reasonable, starting at only $200.00/day.  Place settings for one hundred or more persons are available for rental at a nominal additional fee.

Youth BuildingContrary to popular belief, alcohol is permitted at the commons for private gatherings and events.  However, alcohol may not be sold nor in any manner distributed upon the Commons and may not be served at any public function nor other public eventUnder no circumstances will drunken obnoxious behavior be excused or overlooked, nor will driving upon the Commons while under the influence be tolerated.  The Commons' Alcoholic Beverage Policy follows immeditely below:










Dent County Commons Policy Statement

Enacted on 30 June, 2011


The following policy statement is hereby adopted by the Commons Project Committee effective immediately and shall be duly enforced by same:


  1. Alcoholic beverages shall be permitted to be possessed upon the Dent County Commons:

    1. When in the possession of bona-fide Recreational Vehicle Park Lessees and their respective guests and solely for personal use; and, or,

    2. During those private events held upon the commons when said restricted beverages are in the possession of bona-fide Dent County Commons Asset(s) Lessees and their respective guests and solely for personal use and not violating paragraphs 2 through 5 below.

  2. Driving under the influence of alcohol upon the Dent County Commons is prohibited.

  3. No person under the age of 21 years shall be permitted to possess alcoholic beverages upon the Dent County Commons.

  4. The sale of alcoholic beverages is prohibited upon the Dent County Commons.

  5. The public distribution of alcoholic beverages upon the Dent County Commons by any method is prohibited.

  6. This notice shall be prominently posted in the Multi-use building.

  7. This notice shall be filed with the resolutions of the committee.

  8. Violations of this Policy shall result in:

    1. the offending party being asked to dispose of the alcoholic beverage(s); and, else, or,

    2. the offending party being asked to vacate the premises forthwith.

  9. All members of the Commons Project Committee are tasked with the enforcement of this policy statement.

  10. This policy is effective upon the date of passage.
